This project focused on the modernization of YoungOne CEPZ’s storage and backup environment using IBM FlashSystem 5200 and IBM SAN48C-6 switches. The deployment included RAID configuration, storage pool and LUN creation, SAN zoning, and host mapping for optimized throughput and reliability.

A seamless data migration was carried out from IBM V7000 Gen 1 to IBM FlashSystem 5200 over Fibre Channel, ensuring minimal downtime and full data integrity. Post-migration, Veeam Backup & Replication was implemented with multiple repositories and replication policies to enhance data availability and resilience.

Key Highlights of the Project:

  • Deployed and configured IBM FlashSystem 5200 and SAN48C-6 for high-performance, enterprise-grade storage.
  • Executed a seamless data migration from IBM V7000 Gen 1 with minimal service disruption.
  • Implemented Veeam Backup & Replication with multiple repositories and replication for greater redundancy.
  • Defined comprehensive backup, retention, and recovery policies for VMs, files, and applications to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
